Monday, April 7, felt like the first real day of spring in Calgary so I celebrated with a trip to Bragg Creek to meet a customer who had leased a cappuccino machine from us.
Last June, the SugarShake Bakery and More was under water as was many other businesses in Calgary and surrounding areas.
Looking at the beautiful bakery today with display cases filled with cakes, squares, cookies plus racks of bread and buns, you would never know the interior of this cafe had to be completely gutted and re-built from the ground up.
What a testimony to the entrepreneurial spirit!
As the weather continues to improve and you’re looking to escape to the country, I would strongly suggest a drive out to Bragg Creek to try the scrumptious pastries at the Sugar Shake Bakery and More. Top off your snack with a freshly brewed cappuccino.
